Department of Community Medicine

About

Subject of Community Medicine is practically a backbone of the MBBS graduate course. The subject is so important that of the 9 semesters, it is taught through 1-7 semesters covering 376 hrs.

During seven semesters, the subject of community medicine is taught through classroom teaching, laboratory and museum activities, and through visits to Rural and Urban Health Training Centers owned by the college and run by the department.

During the internship program, interns are posted to the department for two months to get hands-on training in the practice of community medicine.

The department has been granted 4 seats for post-graduation, i.e., M.D. in Community Medicine.

Equipped with various latest equipment.

6. Lecture Theatre:

Lecture theatres with seating capacity of 300 students, equipped with PA systems, digital boards, and LCD projectors.

Departmental Library

The Department Library offers separate reading facilities for faculty and students, featuring the latest edition textbooks and current National & International journals.

Library has more than 150 books.

The Departmental Research Lab is well equipped with research facilities, including computers, printers, and internet services.
