About
The Department of Surgery is primarily housed on the third floor of the hospital building. Faculty complexes, indoor wards, and major operation theatres are located on this floor. The department boasts a 13-bedded separate burn ward in the Burns Unit block opposite the casualty block.
The OPD complex, including a minor operation theatre, endoscopy room, proctology room, and dressing rooms, is located on the Ground floor. The department provides regular services in the fields of General Surgery, Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery, Cancer Surgery, Thyroid Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Laparoscopic Surgery.
Our department has trained renal and pancreas transplant surgeons and regularly performs vascular access surgeries for dialysis. Chirayu Medical College & Hospital (CMCH) is a pioneer in Central India, having performed its first Renal Transplant in 2012.
