Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology

About

Obstetrics & Gynaecology (often abbreviated to OB/GYN, OBG, O&G or Obs & Gynae) are the two surgical specialties dealing with the female reproductive organs. These specialties are often combined to form a single medical specialty and postgraduate training program. This combined training prepares OB/GYNs to be adept at the surgical management of the entire scope of clinical pathology involving female reproductive organs and to provide care for both pregnant and non-pregnant patients.

The OPD complex, Clean and Septic Labour Rooms, Maternity Ward, and Operation Theatre are housed in the Maternity and Child Wing of the hospital. The OPD complex is spacious with adequate waiting space for patients and attendants, procedure rooms, minor OT, teaching rooms, and chambers for consultants and resident doctors. Antenatal and Gyne wards are situated on the second floor of the right wing of the hospital and have their own side labs.
