About
The Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics is a postgraduate department situated on the second floor of the Medical College Building. The department boasts spacious cabins for faculty and staff, along with several laboratories, a library, a museum, demonstration rooms, and offices. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for teaching and conducting research in various fields of pharmacology and therapeutics.
The department offers an undergraduate medical (MBBS) course for 250 students and a postgraduate (M.D.) course for 2 students every year. Additionally, the Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center under the aegis of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission IPC-PvPI (M.P.) was established in 2013, further enhancing the department's capabilities in pharmacovigilance and drug safety monitoring.

Facilities available for teaching are:
- 4 lecture theatres with a capacity of 300 students, well-equipped with audio-visual aids.
- 2 demonstration rooms with a capacity of 75 students each, well-equipped with audio-visual aids.
- Practical hall with a capacity of 90 students, also well-equipped with the instruments and equipment required as per MCI guidelines.
Departmental Library
The Department Library offers separate reading facilities for faculty and students, featuring the latest edition textbooks and current National & International journals. It serves as a valuable resource for both teaching and research activities.
