The Art of Medical Evidence - Moot Court 2026
In alignment with the National Medical Commission (NMC) competency-based medical education curriculum, the Department of Forensic Medicine successfully organized the Moot Court session “Simulated Trial & Testimony – The Art of Medical Evidence.” The program was designed to provide students with experiential learning in medico-legal procedures, courtroom ethics, and the professional responsibilities of a medical practitioner as an expert witness. Through a realistic simulation of trial proceedings, participants developed competencies in communication, professionalism, critical thinking, and interpretation of medical evidence. The activity strengthened students’ understanding of the legal dimensions of medical practice and highlighted the vital role of forensic medicine in the delivery of justice and ethical healthcare.
