Admission Criteria

1. Diploma in Nursing 3 years and 6 months(General Nursing & Midwifery)

  • Minimum and maximum age of admission will be 17 and 35 years.


  • Minimum education :-
    10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferable with science (Physics, chemistry And Biology) subject with aggregate of 40% marks. Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognised by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Admission of student shall be once in a year.
  • Students shall be medically fit.
  • A copy of the prospectus and application form can be obtained by sending RS 450/- or in person. Rs 400/- in favour of Chirayu College of Nursing.
  • The duly completed application form together with the following enclosures should reach the College of Nursing before 31st July every year.
  • Two self addressed stamped envelopes of Rs 5/-.
  • Caste certificate should be submitted if SC/ST/OBC.
  • Two additional passport size photographs.
  • Xerox copies of qualifying examination and certificates showing date of birth.
  • Transfer certificate & migration certificate (for candidates who have completed their qualifying examination under outside Madhya Pradesh).
 

2. Basic B. Sc (N) 4 years

    • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
    • The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of : Higher secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course),
or
    • Senior school certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)
or
    An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE).
  • Candidate shall be medically fit.
 

3. Post Basic B.Sc. (N) 2 years

    • Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
    •   Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
    1. 1.    O.T. Techniques

    2. 2.    Ophthalmic Nursing

    3. 3.    Leprosy Nursing

    4. 4.    TB Nursing

    5. 5.    Psychiatric Nursing

    6. 6.    Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing

    7. 7.    Community Health Nursing

    8. 8.    Cancer Nursing

    9. 9.    Orthopedic Nursing

      • Candidates shall be medically fit.
      • Students shall be admitted once in a year.
4. M. Sc. (N) 2 years
1.    The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or
equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. 
2.    The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of : 
B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 
minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3.   The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. 
Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is
recognized by Indian Nursing Council. 
4.   Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing. 
5.   Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc.
Nursing. 
6.   Candidate shall be medically fit.
7.   5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
