CME on Cornea and Phacoemulsification – “Layers and Lens”

A Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled “Layers and Lens” was held on Sunday, 24th August 2025 at the Auditorium, Chirayu Medical College and Hospital, Bhopal, organized by the Department of Ophthalmology in association with the Bhopal Divisional Ophthalmic Society (BDOS).

The event featured expert talks and case discussions on diverse corneal topics such as keratitis, corneal trauma, SLET, endothelial keratoplasty, and OSSN, followed by a live DMEK/DSEK surgery demonstration. The afternoon session included a hands-on surgical skill transfer workshop covering optical biometry, toric IOL marking, phaco incision construction, cystitome making, capsulorhexis, and IOL loading.

The CME brought together eminent ophthalmologists and trainees for a day of knowledge sharing and practical training, emphasizing advancements in corneal surgery and phacoemulsification techniques.
