Separate secured hostels are there for boys and girls with spacious rooms designed for twin sharing. Hostels are equipped with water purifier, water cooler, solar powered water geysers, 24 hrs. security, power back ups, recreation rooms, gymnasium and indoor games facilities. Separate rooms for visitors and wardens. Sick rooms are there for the needed one with all the facilities. Hostel has multi cuisine mess for healthy hygienic and lip smacking food.

HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following rules will be followed by all male/ female students residing in the hostel. Violation of these rule make students liable for disciplinary action including expulsion from the hostel. A student must remember that the hostel is the home of the students on the campus. He/she should behave himself/herself in the campus as well as outside in such a manner as to bring credit to him/ her and to the institution.

 

 

Behavior and Discipline
  1. 1.     Students are expected to display acceptable form of behavior, maintain discipline and decorum in the hostel complex.

  2. 2.     Smoking is not allowed in the hostel complex any time.

  3. 3.     Possession, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic beverages prohibited drugs, chewing tobacco in the hostel complex is not allowed.

  4. 4.     Parties, social or political gatherings in the hostel complex are not permitted.

  5. 5.     Students must return to the hostel by 9:00 pm every day and are not allowed to leave the hostel after 6:00 PM without permission.

  6. 6.     A student once admitted in the hostel continues to be hostel inmate throughout the year. He has to pay the room rent for the full academic session. The amount will be forfeited if the inmate decides to leave the hostel in mid-session.

  7. 7.     Every student should stay in the accommodation allotted to him/her by the concerned authority. He/she will not be allowed to change the accommodation once allotted.

  8. 8.     A student should check the fittings in his/her room at the time of occupation. If there is deficiency or inadequacy. It should be brought to the notice of the hostel staff in writing. He/she shall be responsible for fittings and shall see to it that they are in order at the time of handing over charge of the room when he leaves the hostel.

  9. 9.     Students will be personally and collectively responsible for any loss or damage to the hostel furniture or other fittings in all the common facilities and places in the hostel.

  10. 10.      Cleanliness of the room is to be maintained by the student himself/ herself.

  11. 11.     A student should not enter the rooms of others without permission.

  12. 12.     All students will remain present at the time of Roll call.

  13. 13.     In case of any unacceptable behavior by the room-mate the other room-mate must report it to the college authorities.

 

 

Upkeep of the Hostel
  1. 1.     Students are responsible for keeping their room & the common areas in the hostels such as visitor’s room, bathroom, stair case and common room etc clean and tidy at all times.

  2. 2.     All fans, light and electrical appliance must be switched off when not in use.

  3. 3.     Cooking, making tea etc is not allowed in the hostel.

  4. 4.     Common hostel furniture must not be moved out of the room without the permission of the officer concerned.

  5. 5.     Any damage to the hostel property must be reported immediately to the officer concerned. Hostlers will be charged for all the damages except damages caused by normal wear & tear.

  6. 6.     Pasting of posters, writings, on wall, wall chalking, slogans of any kind or defacing the hostel in any form is not allowed.

  7. 7.     The hostel management reserves the right to make spot checks on the hostel and rooms without giving prior notice to the students.

  8. 8.     Electricians, contractors or any other service person may enter rooms as and when necessary in the course of their duty.

  9. 9.     The hostel management reserves the right to move hostelers to other hostel units if there is necessity.

  10. 10.     Employment of a private servant /or maid servant is not allowed in the hostel.

  11. 11.     No one should use the belonging of other students without their consent.

  12. 12.     Pets are not allowed in the hostel complex.

 

 

Visitors
  1. 1.     Visitors are not permitted to stay in the boys/girls hostels.

  2. 2.     Visitors including parents are allowed only into the visitors area of the hostel during the visiting hours.
    Monday – Saturday 04:30 PM- 7:30 PM
    Sunday & holidays 10:00 AM- 7:30 PM

  3. 3.     All visitors must sign in the register placed at the guard post and provide all details and documents as requested by security before entering the hostel complex.

  4. 4.     All visitors must leave the hostel complex after visiting hour’s.

  5. 5.     Students are not permitted to allow visitors of the opposite sex into rooms at any time for whatever reasons. Any student found violating this rule will be evicted from the hostel.

  6. 6.     Non hostel students are prohibited in the hostel without the permission of residential warden.

  7. 7.     The hostel management reserves the right to increase the rental by giving one months notice.

  8. 8.     No students should entertain unauthorized guest.

 

 

Termination of Tenancy
  1. 1.     Hostelers can terminate the hostel tenancy by giving at least one month’s notice, failure to give one month’s advance notice will result in forfeiture of one month’s rent.

  2. 2.     The hostel management can end this tenancy  at any time if –

  3. 3.     The student fails to pay any sums due to the hostel within fifteen days of the due date.

  4. 4.     If the student fails to comply with the terms of this tenancy.

  5. 5.     Admission to the hostel cannot be claimed as matter of right.

 

 

Security
  1. 1.     Students are required to carry their hostel cards at all times in the compound of the hostel and produce it on demand by the authorities.
  2. 2.     Students are advised to lock doors at all times for security reason.
  3. 3.     The management is not responsible for any loss of private property.
  4. 4.     Students are not permitted to change rooms or sleep any where other than the rooms allotted to them.
  5. 5.     Any student who find his/her room-mate missing for more than 24 hours, must report to the Dean/warden immediately. This is to enable the Dean to take immediate action if any incident takes place. Cooperation form student are expected.
  6. 6.     Students are not allowed to keep weapons including air gun, contraband drugs, alcohol, toxic and hazardous material.
  7. 7.     Keeping electric appliances such as TV , DVD, heater, iron, oven, etc in the room in also prohibited.
  8. 8.     Consumption of liquor including beer, gutkha and smoking are prohibited in the hostel.
  9. 9.     Ragging is a symbol of immaturity. It is strictly prohibited. To minimise such incidents, students are urged not to visit other hostels without their warden’s permission .
  10. 10.     Boarders have to obtain a clearance certificate from the warden in order to be eligible for the issuance of the admit card for the university examination.

 

 

It has been observed that the college students by virtue of their numerical strength are some-time involved in cases of physical violence or nuisance at public place outside/inside the college campus. In all such cases the college is not legally bound to defend any student or to take bail etc. If the necessity arises, the college authorities may inform the guardian/ parents of the students involvement in such incidents. The responsibility of defending cases will be entirely of the concerned student. Students shall be responsible for their actions. No student shall be above the law. The hostel cannot be considered as a hiding place for miscreants. The police authorities have the right to enter the campus, detain, or arrest anyone depending upon the severity of the offence. Parents are specially requested to guide their wards so that they don’t indulge in any physical violence.

College authorities reserve the right to take disciplinary action including cancellations of allotment of the hostel for violation of hostel rules.

The hostel advisory committee of the college shall, in addition to the powers vested in it under hostel rules, have power to deal in all matters connected with the general administration of the hostel. Including the running of the mess. The committee shall have power to recommend any disciplinary action against any inmate or employee working in the hostel.

No boarders shall be absent from the hostel without the prior permission of the Dean/ Chief warden.
